The inspiration for the 2022 Wisconsin State Capitol Ornament is the 50th anniversary of the Dane County Farmers’ Market held on the State Capitol Square each Saturday, April through November, one of the premier Farmers’ Markets in the nation. The historic State Capitol Square is the ideal location for an outdoor market of this magnitude.
The annual commemorative ornament and decorative gift box celebrate the half-century milestone for the Farmer’s Market with an inscription on the ornament along with a special brochure which provides a brief history of the Market on the Square.

Note: The annual Wisconsin State Capitol Ornament series is excluded from discounts. Proceeds go to the Capitol Restoration Fund. Since the ornament’s inception, proceeds from annual sales have supported more than $75,000 in restoration projects around the Capitol building. Funds raised have helped fund such projects as the visitors’ bird’s eye view from the glass perch inside the dome of the State Capitol.
