About Event

Experience the wonder of a 19th-century Christmas at Wade House. Enjoy jubilant holiday music, beautiful decorations, and tasty treats—fresh out of the oven—as you enjoy festive activities for all ages. The sights, sounds, and smells transport you back to when the holidays had a stronger focus on family gatherings and time together. The halls of the historic Wade House Stagecoach Hotel will be decked out for the Christmas season, showcasing how the Wade Family and their many visitors would have celebrated the festive season.


Know before you go:
Please park at the Visitor Center located on Highway 23. Musicians will perform from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The entire Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, Visitor Center, and the first floor of Wade House will be open to guests. Guests must climb and descend three stairs to enter/exit Wade House. There is also one step when entering the kitchen. Chairs are available throughout the home for guests to rest their feet. The museum shop will be open with drinks available for purchase. Restrooms are available across the site.

Adults (13-64) $13

Seniors (65+) $11

Youth/Child (5-12) $5

Children Under 5 Free

Society members get a 10% discount.

About the Location

Explore the horse-powered world that existed before planes, cars, and railroads at Wade House. Here the golden era of carriages lives on forever, with historic structures and a state-of-the-art museum highlighting all its wonders. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade, the first European settlers of Greenbush. The site is also home to a blacksmith shop, sawmill, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons.
