Product Details
Make your own historic sauerkraut while also learning the science and history behind fermented cabbage around the world!  You will taste a variety of different fermented foods like South Korean Kimchi, developing their palate and inspiring future fermentations. At the end of class you take home a jar of your very own sauerkraut-to-be, ready to eat in just a few days. This workshop is perfect for those interested in fermenting their own food or those curious about the science and tradition of this ancient preservation technique. 

Date: November 9, 2019
Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm. Please bring a sack lunch.
Cost: $40 per person (not refundable)

Advance Registration will close one week before the workshop.

For learners age 13 and up. This workshop is held in our Clausing Café. Before the day of the class, we will email parking and entry instructions.

All apprenticeships require a minimum number of participants to occur. If your apprenticeship does not meet the minimum capacity, you will be contacted prior to the date and issued a refund. Registration is non-refundable unless apprenticeship cancelled by Old World Wisconsin.
