Learn about the history and biology of leather in the beautiful setting of an 1880's cobbler's workshop. As a part of this apprenticeship you will walk away with the tools and knowledge to continue leather working at home! You will learn basics of how to cut, sew, and dye leather as you work to make a beautiful, customized belt and wallet. These can make a perfect holiday gift or something special to keep for yourself!

Register by 5:00 pm Monday, November 12th. Registration required.

Please bring a sack lunch.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 16 years of age

This workshop will be held in our 1880's Shoe Shop. This space is heated by a wood stove. We recommend dressing in layers. It will be held rain or shine. 

Please enter at the Main Entrance and park in the main lot. Staff will greet you at the entrance to direct you to the shop.

All apprenticeships require a minimum number of participants to occur. If your apprenticeship does not meet the minimum capacity, you will be contacted prior to the date and issued a refund. Registration non-refundable unless apprenticeship cancelled by Old World Wisconsin.
