Learn the basics of Blacksmithing as you work in small groups shoulder-to-shoulder with an Old World Wisconsin Smith over a coal-fired forge. Students will learn how to heat and work steel and create projects to take home as a demonstration of your newfound skill. A great opportunity to make holiday gifts that come with a once in a lifetime story! No experience needed. This is an introductory level class.

Register by 5:00 pm Monday, November 5th. Registration required. 

Please bring a sack lunch.

Location: Old World Wisconsin 
Prerequisite: Must be at least 16 years of age
Required Clothing: Appropriate work wear (long sleeves, long pants and hard shoes or boots) and protective eyewear

This workshop will be held in our historic Blacksmith Shop. It will be held rain or shine. 

Please enter at the Main Entrance and park in the main lot. Staff will greet you at the entrance to direct you to the shop.

All apprenticeships require a minimum number of participants to occur. If your apprenticeship does not meet the minimum capacity, you will be contacted prior to the date and issued a refund. Registration non-refundable unless apprenticeship cancelled by Old World Wisconsin.
