Visit a historic encampment and battle re-enactment on Wisconsin's only War of 1812 battlefield! The War of 1812 came to Prairie du Chien on July 17, 1814, when U.S. and British-Canadian soldiers clashed on what is now the west lawn of Villa Louis. Tour the camps to learn about military life and see the British assault on U.S. Fort Shelby in a battle scenario, taking place at 2:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. 

Tickets include admission to the battle and ongoing programs the day of the event, including military camp demonstrations, guest speakers, and Villa Louis mansion tours. Lunch and refreshments are available for purchase on site. 

Battle re-enactment will take place at 2:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Pre-sale tickets are good for either Saturday OR Sunday attendance.
