Recipes include ones for hot mulled ale, scones, cheese toast, fish soup, baked onions, oyster souffle, traditional spiced beef, and baked almond pudding.
Asala, of the Chicago, Illinois, area, gathered recipes during trips to Ireland. Wright, of Decorah, Iowa, researched Irish traditions and spirit. And Costello provided cover photos and references throughout the book, presented in the handy, palm-sized Stocking Stuffer format.
