Hodag [noun] \`ho, dag\

A fearsome, mischievous creature who hunts the North Woods of Wisconsin. Known to dine on fish, earth, and beef on a stick. "Discovered" by Eugene Shepard in Rhinelander, WI, 1893. This elaborate hoax ended only when the Smithsonian attempted to send a naturalist to verify the existence of the animal.

To capture your own:
1. Dig a hole 50 feet wide and 30 feet deep
2. Cover the hole with poles, brush, and branches
3. Use an ox as bait to lead the Hodag to the trap
4. Try not to have the ox fall into the trap but lure the Hodag to step on the poles
1. Buy this pin.
