I Am Ordering For An Institution Or Organization That Is Tax-Exempt. How Do I Place A Tax-Exempt Order Online?
The Wisconsin Historical Society online store honors the tax-exempt status in the state of Wisconsin of eligible institutions. However, you cannot place a tax-exempt order in the Wisconsin Historical Society online store without first setting up an account as a tax exempt institution. To set up a tax-exempt account, please contact email@example.com or give us a call at 8608-261-9366 for assistance. Currently, taxes do not apply on out-of-state orders.
I Represent An Educational Institution. Is My Educational Discount Available Online?
Customers from an educational institution (school, school district, public library, historical society, etc.) receive a 10% discount on their purchases from the Wisconsin Historical Society online store. However, in order to receive the discount, you first need to set up an educator’s account. To do so, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at 608-261-9366 for assistance. Some institutions may be tax-exempt and qualify for a 10% discount.

Yes, Wisconsin Historical Society Members receive 10% off all purchases online and in-store. Periodically, members, educators, and e-newsletter subscribers receive additional discount offers that can be redeemed in the Wisconsin Historical Society online store.
I Was Notified That My Item Was Backordered And Would Be Delayed In Getting Shipped To Me. What Does It Mean To Be "Backordered"?
If an item is not in-stock and will take more than two weeks to get back in-stock, you will be notified that the item is backordered within five business days. A backordered status means that the item is still available for sale, not discontinued, and will eventually be back in-stock. For orders that contain both backordered items as well as regular in-stock items, we wait to ship all items until the backordered item becomes available. However, if you need the other items from your order sooner, we are more than happy to ship them right away with no extra cost to you.
Returns and Exchange PolicyAll returns must be accompanied by a receipt, unless approved by online store management. In general, merchandise is returnable for 30 days from time of purchase or if the item is still current in store. Evidence of original sale of returned item must exist in our records. Credit card purchases will be credited back to the same card. No returns on sale items or earrings and no refunds on shipping and handling once an order has shipped. If exchanging an item of greater cost than the returned item, you will be charged for the difference and the cost of shipping and handling if the item has already shipped.
