Learn the basics of Blacksmithing as you work in small groups shoulder to shoulder with Old World Wisconsin smiths.  In the warmth of the historic forge, you will learn how to heat and work steel, and you will work on projects to take home as a demonstration of your newfound skill. 

A great opportunity to make gifts that come with a once-in-a-lifetime story!  No experience needed. This is an introductory level class. Projects include different hook styles and a triangle "dinner bell.”

Register by 5:00 pm Monday, March 25. Registration required. 

Please bring a sack lunch. 

Date: March 30, 2019
Time: 10:00am- 3:00pm
Cost: $200.00. (WHS members receive 10% discount. At checkout, enter your member number, and click the "Update" button to apply the discount.)
Location: Old World Wisconsin 
Prerequisite: Must be at least 16 years of age
Required Clothing: Bring your own protective eye wear (required) and appropriate work wear (long sleeves, long pants and sturdy shoes or work boots).
Note: Physical tickets will not be mailed.

Rain or Shine: This workshop will be held in our historic Blacksmith Shop. It will be held rain or shine.

Important Notes: All apprenticeships require a minimum number of participants to occur. If your apprenticeship does not meet the minimum capacity, you will be contacted prior to the date and issued a refund. Registration is non-refundable unless apprenticeship cancelled by Old World Wisconsin.
