This earring features a detail from a playful art glass window design created by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1912. The brightly colored windows bring to mind a parade—a fun theme appropriate for a children's playroom. They have an symmetrical, geometric design with abstract reference to flags, balloons, and confetti.

Frank Lloyd Wright was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin in 1867, and Taliesin, Wright's home, studio and country estate, is located in the hilly Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin near Spring Green. Wright's “Prairie style” became the basis of 20th-century residential design in the United States, and his furniture, art, and writing was crucial to twentieth-century architectural development and has a profound influence on the decorative arts to this day.

Details:

  • Solid brass with hematite finish
  • hand enameled
  • Posts are plated hematite
  • Ear wires are hypo-allergenic
  • Hangs approximately 2.25"
  • Gift box with provenance card
