About the Event
Local historian Chris Brookes brings the best-selling author of all time, Agatha Christie, back to life for an intimate evening of mystery and conversation on the veranda of Black Point Estate & Gardens.
Following a first-floor tour of the beautiful 1880s Queen Anne style summer cottage of Chicago beer baron Conrad Seipp, "Christie" will discuss her highly-successful literary career, including her most famous novel "Murder on the Orient Express" and her wildly successful play "Mousetrap." Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you're transported back in time.
Brookes has loved Geneva Lake all her life. Her passion for the history of the area developed as she grew up living on the Northwestern Military Academy campus with her family. Brookes is active in numerous civic organizations including the Friends of the Lake Geneva Library, The Lake Geneva Historic Preservation Commission, Geneva Lake Theater Association, and the Lake Geneva Authorfest.
